North Wales Hospital Supplied With Specialist Doorsets
Within North Wales there are three district general hospitals and the one which occupies the central position, Glan Clwdy Hospital has been supplied with a number of Bespoke Complete Services specialist fire doorsets. Positioned just 4 miles from the sea, this hospital serves the population of the busy costal towns as well as rural towns set more in land.
A number of people come through their doors and summertime sees holiday makers keeping the wards busy due to this seasonal influx. Currently the hospital has 551 beds, known for its recent developments including:
- The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre
- The Renal and Diabetic Unit
- The Acute Medical Assessment Unit
- The Sub-regional Neonatal Unit
- The North Wales Clinical School
- The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory
This was an extremely prestigious project to be asked to manufacture a number of doorsets for this North Wales Hospital. The doors supplied were a range of the specialist Ewood laminate faced doors, a factory glazed vision panel was inserted and these complied with FR30 and FR60 specifications. The glazed vision panels were fixed with hardwood, steamed beech clocking beads.
Polyrey Laminate was used to face the doors and these were manufactured on a solid particleboard core with 10mm exposed lippings on all 4 edges in a solid steamed beech with a fully lacquered finish.
It was then requested that all the doors be supplied factory fitted with ironmongery. This ironmongery had to include S/S kick plates, push plates, pull handles, overhead door closers as well as air transfer grills.
Furthermore the doors acted as part of a doorset and thus frames were manufactured in the matching steamed beech hardwood as well as complimentary hardwood double bullnosed architraves.
Bespoke Complete Services listened to the specification of the client and thus created high quality bespoke doorsets which were exactly what they required.
