Salford Royal Renovation Continues

The extensive refurbishment project at Salford Royal Hospital continues, with Bespoke Complete Services providing a wide range of doors and doorsets to the project. The latest areas of the hospital that have been completed are the Fracture Clinic and Physiotherapy Suite, both of which are busy, important departments.

The doorsets installed in both areas boast appropriate FD30 and FD60 ratings to ensure they offer proven protection in the event of a fire; part of this protection is provided by our innovative particleboard door cores. The specification required the inclusion of several vision panels in many of the doors; these panels were fire-rated Pyrodur30 & Pyrodu60. In order to ensure a close, tight and lasting fit, the glazing of the vision panels was completed with our flush-fitting bead system, leaving a smooth and harmonious finish that will offer continued protection from knocks and scratches (e.g. from wheelchairs and trolleys) to this frequently used department without compromising patient or staff safety.

To add the perfect finishing touch, laminate was used to cover the doors. For the Fracture Clinic, a high-pressure laminate was chosen to protect against the many wheelchairs and trolleys which frequent the department while the Physiotherapy Suite was finished with Zebrano laminate to create a pleasing, relaxing aesthetic conducive to healing.
