Trafford’s Woodhey’s Primary School

We were approached by Woodhey Primary School which is based in Sale, Trafford as they had a requirement for a number of doorsets. A total of forty three doors were actually required and these were in the American White Oak Veneer finish.

After visiting the site we were able to manufacture the doors, they were all pre-hung in the frames on class 13 s/s hinges. These were the doors which would be used to lead into the various classrooms and so they were 30db acoustic doorsets factory fitted IS8010 with automatic threshold seals.

Some of the doors were completed with number one factory glazed vision panels, these featured clear fire rated glass with matching hardwood cloaking beads. These had to conform to DDA Regulations, the Disability Discrimination Act states that any disabled person must not be discriminated against and therefore the doors needed to be easily accessible to this particular group of people.

After ensuring that the doors conformed to the DDA Regulations we further ensured that they were fully prepared for ironmongery attachments such as door handles, hinges, locks and latches. This was all done in our factory and therefore saved time and hassle onsite making the whole project that little bit smoother.

On completion the customer was extremely impressed with the results that were achieved, the doors were of our usual high standard and manufactured exactly to their specification.

Bespoke Doors for New Office Spaces

Our Scottish distributor Fyfe & McGrouther approached us because they needed a total of around 110 door leaves in FD30 and FD60 applications for their customer Evans Easyspace.

Evans Easyspace is a UK provider of quality office spaces and workshops in particular for small and medium sized enterprises. The doors that we supplied onto our distributor were steamed beech veneer and all featured concealed lippings to all four edges. They were taken from our standard Ewood range of veneered doors.

The customer requested that the veneered doors were supplied fully prepped and ready to accept the client’s ironmongery, this was easy to do through our door servicing. Bespoke Complete Services prepped the doors so that they would accept hinges, flush bolts, handles and other necessary ironmongery.

Another feature of the doors was the factory glazed vision panels which were inserted and then glazed with clear glass in FR material. These then featured the matching hardwood clocking beads.

Every door which was manufactured for this particular project were fully bespoke, each door had to be made exactly to size as they needed to be fitted into an existing timber frame. This however was no problem for us and we successfully completed the job on time and too our usual high standard.

Evans Easyspace now has a number of sites which will be undergoing renovation and hopefully we are going to be involved within many of these in the future.

North Wales Hospital Supplied With Specialist Doorsets

Within North Wales there are three district general hospitals and the one which occupies the central position, Glan Clwdy Hospital has been supplied with a number of Bespoke Complete Services specialist fire doorsets. Positioned just 4 miles from the sea, this hospital serves the population of the busy costal towns as well as rural towns set more in land.

A number of people come through their doors and summertime sees holiday makers keeping the wards busy due to this seasonal influx. Currently the hospital has 551 beds, known for its recent developments including:

  • The North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre
  • The Renal and Diabetic Unit
  • The Acute Medical Assessment Unit
  • The Sub-regional Neonatal Unit
  • The North Wales Clinical School
  • The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory

This was an extremely prestigious project to be asked to manufacture a number of doorsets for this North Wales Hospital. The doors supplied were a range of the specialist Ewood laminate faced doors, a factory glazed vision panel was inserted and these complied with FR30 and FR60 specifications. The glazed vision panels were fixed with hardwood, steamed beech clocking beads.

Polyrey Laminate was used to face the doors and these were manufactured on a solid particleboard core with 10mm exposed lippings on all 4 edges in a solid steamed beech with a fully lacquered finish.

It was then requested that all the doors be supplied factory fitted with ironmongery. This ironmongery had to include S/S kick plates, push plates, pull handles, overhead door closers as well as air transfer grills.

Furthermore the doors acted as part of a doorset and thus frames were manufactured in the matching steamed beech hardwood as well as complimentary hardwood double bullnosed architraves.

Bespoke Complete Services listened to the specification of the client and thus created high quality bespoke doorsets which were exactly what they required.

BCS-L is Environmentally Green!

Bespoke Complete Services have invested a considerable amount of money in order to turn our grey factory green!

You would be wrong in thinking that we have decorated and painted our factory green! Instead we have got an energy efficient wood burning boiler and heating system in place.

As a manufacturer of Fire Doors, Acoustic Doorsets, Veneered Doors, and our Performance Bespoke Doorsets we often have off cuts of wood which would have normally gone to waste. Now we can cut these down, burn them and use them to heat our factory. This investment has seen us reduce our gas fuel requirements for both the factory and are offices by a massive 70%.

The wood that we use to manufacture our doors has to come from somewhere, BCS-L care where this comes from and therefore we adopt a strict environmental policy.

All of our wood is sourced from well maintained forests which are legal, this is backed up by evidence proving that our suppliers are compliant and operate in accordance to the laws of their particular country. Our concerns for the environment has meant that we strongly condemn any illegal logging practices and are always on top of any changes to international legislation regarding sourcing timber.

We are going green why don’t you see what you can do to help save the environment too! Bespoke Complete Services have already seen a massive benefit to ourselves but also in context this will help us to do our bit for the environment.
